When in 1929 Adolf Hitler started his way to power in Germany, he was supported and eventually brought into power by the SA (Sturm Abteilung). The SA wore to the most part brownish uniforms but always a brownish shirt. So the SA became known as “Braune” or in English “Brown Shirts”.
The “Brown Shirts” assignment and terror weapon of choice was intimidation and street fighting. The “Brown Shirts” were part of the NSDAP (National Sozialistische Arbeiter Party) or in English National Socialistic Workers Party.
Under the commando of well-known homosexual Ernst Roehm the SA was first used to openly fight the Bolsheviks otherwise known as Marxists, Leninists, Communists, and even the today still existing Social Democratic Party, which can be compared with the American Democratic Party.
As the NSDAP with its “Brown Shirts” became more and more powerful, they started to keep people from participating in local civic gatherings and elections. Anybody considered Bolshevik or simple not a NAZI was beaten up, harassed, intimidated and entry to political events flat out denied. They manipulated elections, stole and destroyed petitions of the few people who still had the courage to act against the NAZI’s.
It did not take long until dead “Bolsheviks” and even “Brown Shirts” often piled up in Germany’s streets.
When Hitler then came to power in 1933 he now employed the Police alongside Ernst Roehm’s “Brown Shirts” and unjustified arrests started to become the norm. Those who dared to still openly speak and act against the NAZI’s started to disappear.
Thinking back on this part of history should be frightening to all of Mohave County’s citizens. Apparently the “Brown Shirts” changed their shirts and now wear “Gray Shirts”. Just think on the developments in the past year at the Mohave County Administration Building and especially the Board of Supervisor Meetings.
People started to get removed for the most flimsy reasons they could be thought of or sip le wearing a hat. Even disabled and sick people. The freedom of speech was curtailed in and outside the building. People started to get arrested and unconstitutionally trespassed. Now the first assaults are starting to happen and people starting to disappear in midst of a crowd of people.
And the newspapers of the county did their job for the tyrants by reporting “All calm at the BOS Meeting”
Wake up citizens of Mohave County! Look around. It’s 1933 all over again! The “Brown Shirts” are now “Gray Shirts”
