Jim Kanelos had been arrested at a Mohave County Board of Supervisors meeting on March 7, 2011 for wearing a patriotic hat while addressing the Board of Supervisors from the podium.
According to freelance reporter Bridget Lewiston, Kanelos plans on filing a complaint with the Arizona Supreme Court Office of Judicial Mismanagement. The complaint will include Judge Rick Lambert, Kingman Justice Court; Judge Jill Davis, Lake Havasu Court; and Lozano.
After Mervin Fried’s arrest and case for trespassing on Mohave County property with a pitchfork, a constitutionally recognized weapon, has already been ruled in Mervin Fried’s favor, Jim Kanelos case dismissal seems to indicate a pattern of unconstitutional false arrests ordered by the Mohave County Board of Supervisors, which does not hold police powers in the county.
Mervin Fried already has his next charge pending. He was arrested again at a Board of Supervisor Tax meeting for wearing a T-Shirt that read “Fuck the Tax” and has been charged against with trespassing on Mohave County property.
The Mohave County Attorney Matt Smith seems to be determined to make an example out of Mervin Fried’s case. Naturally both the arrest and the charge against Mervin Fried are unconstitutional.
